Long overdue updates...

So many things happened over the summer, but I won't bore my readers (all 5 of you) with one lengthy post. Instead I will split it up. So here goes!

First of all--

It's a girl!!

Yes, the official ruling on the ultrasound is that we are expecting a little baby girl. Jayda is so excited and Tai doesnt seem to have a clue what is going on. The only thing he notices different is that he is not allowed to bounce on my stomach anymore...oh, and he seems to take a little extra time trying to settle into my lap lately being that there is less room for him to sit there.

Springtime ended with my kids' gymnastics show week. Here are a few pictures:

Jayda seems to do really well on the bars (I think they are her favorite)

Daily life

Tai's favorite breakfast is oatmeal. (Funny thing--it is Jayda's favorite, too. I hated the stuff as a child!) The nice part is it is a nutritious breakfast and it doubles as a great activity that holds his attention long enough for me to make mine and Jayda's breakfasts as well--and I might be able to get a few dishes done while he continues to "eat". The first 5 minutes he spends trying to figure out how to eat it with the spoon, then the next couple of minutes he throws the spoon to the floor and proceeds to eat it by the fist-full. When he gets to the bottom of the bowl, he sticks his face in it, hoping to get every last oat with his tongue. But that is not all. He will then throw his bowl on the floor (he does this with everything he is "done" with--I have yet to break him of that habit) and spends the next 5-10 minutes "finger-painting" with the oatmeal on his tray that didn't make it into his mouth. Yet he never gets sad when it is time to peel away from the oatmeal frenzy because it is always followed by one of his other favorite activities...bath time!

Below is Tai helping daddy mow the weeds (Just kiddin'-although the grass is much nicer on the other side of the driveway). Both Tai and Jayda love to play outside when daddy mows the lawn.
