Jasmyn with a side of Tai and Jayda

Jasmyn's hair is getting so long, it is at that stage where it is hard to do things with. When it was shorter, I could just put a little headband in it. Now I can get enough together to put a little elastic in it but it ends up sticking straight up on top. The funniest part is the bed head she gets when she wakes up in the morning:


Her shirt says "Mommy and Daddy's alarm clock." So true. She literally
wakes us up sometime between 6:30 and 7am every morning.












"Seriously, Mom, you are taking a picture of me at this time of the morning?"








Once Jasmyn started eating finger foods, she seemed to eat better. She never really liked the pureed stuff.
She likes to hold the spoon with one hand while using her other
hand to actually eat the food.






Jasmyn to this day will not take a binky, but we have caught her
several times sucking on the round knob attached to these puzzle
pieces. And yes I have actually tried giving her a puzzle piece in lieu of a binky when she has been cranky or hard to put to sleep.
It still didn't work.












Jasmyn's famous pout (and really, this picture just does not do it justice). You know she is gonna break out in a gynormous
wail when you see this face.




How could anyone say "no" to such a cute little face?

After Tai went potty, he had to wash his hands (of course) so a little guy's gotta do what a little guy's gotta do.

Welcome to Siblinghood

Now that Tai talks a lot more, it is interesting to hear what goes on in his little mind. I observed this little sibling interaction this morning:
Tai is playing with duplo legos "building a robot"
Jasmyn comes over to check out what he is doing with those colorful and fun little blocks that look good for sucking on.
Tai knows exactly what she is doing so he brushes the blocks away from her. "Jasmyn, dont!" he exclaimes.
Jasmyn, ever so innocently, smacks Tai on the leg a few times.
Tai looks up at me. "Mommy, get Jasmyn go away?"
I was so impressed with how he handled the situation (without yelling or hitting), that I indulged his request and let him build in peace.

June-July

So I got the kids to bed around 8pm and considered using my free time to do some housework, but instead chose to update my blog (which is in desperate need of updating). Here are some of what has been going on with our family this summer...
